We had a fantastic time visiting our daughter and son-in-law in Maine.
We spent one night in the Allegheny National Forest in Pennsylvania but did not take any pictures.
The next night we got to the Green Mountain National Forest in Vermont after dark. The first pics are the view we woke up to!
While in Maine we visited Portland and had time to stop by the Portland Head Lighthouse.
We also took a trip north and hiked to Moxie Falls.
On the way home we drove a trail along Pennsylvania's "Grand Canyon," the Pike Creek Gorge. Just a nice drive in the woods.
We also found a nice view of the Allegheny Reservoir and drove a nice trail near there that was more technical and fun. It was on what would be a snowmobile trail during the winter. So got pretty narrow. It was a good time to play with all the four-wheel drive functions on the 4Runner. I had too much fun driving and didn't take any pictures. Sorry.
While camping for a total of 5 nights we had temperatures into the low 20's. We stayed nice and comfortable in the OzTent using a Buddy Heater.
It was a great trip and a good first long trip in the 4Runner. We can't wait for our next adventure!
